Vissel 5 - 0 Tokai University

We won our first game in the Emperor's Cup yesterday - 5-0 against Tokai University. Apart from resting Okubo, Kim and Enomoto, Miura opted for an almost full-strength team, obviously trying to avoid the embarrassment of our early exit from the cup last year. In all truth, we didn't play particularly well, despte what the scoreline might suggest. Ganaha and Marcel (2nd half) had a golden opportunity to state their cases for inclusion in the regular squad but were very disappointing. Ganaha seems to be lacking confidence big time which is preventing him from shooting and Marcel is still slow and lazy. Personally, I was hoping to see some of our younger squad members on the bench but, considering we won 5-0, I will refrain from playing "manager" today.

Mogi got a hat trick - in the first half!
Mogi, Mogi, Mogi, oi, oi, oi!!!

BTW, Matsumoto Yamaga, the team we thrashed 8-0 last year, beat Urawa 2-0.
Nice!
