La Famiglia: Vissel crashed out of the Nabisco Cup tonight in spectacular fashion with a 1-2 defeat at home to Marinos. A 0-0 result would have seen us go through to the 2nd round (away goals) so when Yoshida put us in front midway through the 1st half, things were looking sweet. But you can always count on Vissel Kobe to throw away a very winable match - and tonight was no exception. We didn't play particularly bad, but there was an obvious lack of creativity in the final third, so most of our promising moves broke down before we could get shots on goal. Wada waited far too long to substitute Yoshida and Park leaving their replacements Morioka and Rogerinho very little time to make an impact. Yoshito was not up for it at all, spitting the dummy several times like we all know he can. The schedule this summer is pretty full on so our elimination may turn out to be a good thing. Big match against Kofu this Saturday.
