Nabisco Cup: Vissel 1 - 1 JEF United

It doesn't sound that bad does it? A draw in the first round of the Nabisco Cup.
Believe me, it is.

Vissel fielded pretty much their strongest team, AT HOME, against a team 2nd from the bottom of the J-league.
And we were shit.
I wish I could say we wasted wasted opportunities, but we didn't. Because we created close to nothing, and got the same. Our goal came from a bit of individual brilliance (you need that at Vissel!) from Ishibitsu who managed to slip one by their keeper in the 70th minute. It was a nice goal.

Ganaha disappointed. He was non-existent for most of the game, and very uninvolved when the ball was in their third of the field. Without being too critical, he was not even noticed. Seriously (really, seriously!), I could've done what he did tonight.

Our midfield was non-existent. Passing was even more frantic than the Omiya game and Tanaka is clearly under the impression that the goal is about 15m high. Over the last 2 matches he has had at least 5 shots on goal that have all hit (or gone over) the roof.

To sum up, are Vissel Kobe good enough to draw against one of the weaker teams in the J-League at home? Yes - just.
But at the moment, that is our limit.

Oh, and Kobe you suck. 5,000 people, including at least 4 or 5 hundred form Chiba!
Pathetic.

I'm not trying to bring everyone down, I'm just telling it how it is.

Yeh,I'm with you on this one.
It's feeling like the Vissel of old, recently. Even at the 'miracle' win to Frontale.
Apathy all round and that 'content with survival or at best mid-table mediocrity' attitude.
Vissel have NEVER bothered in the cup. I'm surprised five thousand turned up.
It's hard not to be pessimistic when there's little to be cheerful about.I can't find four players in the whole team that look like they give a toss.
