Vissel sign Edmilson from Oita

The club have just announced the signing of midfielder Edmilson from Oita Trinita.
This is the time of year when teams in the top division poach players from the relegated clubs that can't afford to keep them any longer. Both Chiba and Kashiwa have already let a few go but this is our first signing looking towards to the next campaign. Could this mean that Botti is about to make an exit?

Edmilson doesn't seem to be a bad signing for us at this moment. He has about 5 years experience in the J.league so we are unlikely to encounter the same problems we had with Marcel, and to an extent, Alan Bahia. He can play either in the center or on the right and is not afraid to take the odd shot. However, this couldn't be anything but a short term signing for us as he will have already turned 34 by the time he plays his first match.
