Urawa 0 - 4 Vissel

I'm lost for words. Literally. Yesterday's MASSIVE victory over Urawa, at Urawa, combined with Kyoto's 2-0 win over F.C. Tokyo, ensures us another year of J1 football. What a way to finish off the emotional roller coaster ride that was the 2010 J.League season. There will be plenty to say about our performance this year in posts to come soon, but for now I think I'll just sit back and savor the first moment of real "peace" I've had since March.

Commiserations to F.C. Tokyo. Although the table doesn't lie, they definitely didn't deserve to go down based on the spirit they've shown over the last 6 weeks or so. This is the first time for them to experience relegation (I know exactly how you are feeling now) and, if my memory serves me correctly, the first time they've been anywhere near the bottom 3 at the end of the season. I'm sure we'll be playing you in the league in 2012.

And of course, thanks to Kyoto. They have had a bitterly disappointing season this year, and the spirit they must have shown to pull off a victory like that in their last match in J1 leads me to believe that their time in J2 will be short lived as well.

Finally, thanks for all of your messages of support and congratulations over the last week. The La Famiglia mail box has been busier than a Sannomiya massage parlor on a Saturday night! So they tell me...

That. Was. Intense.

For once, Kobe didn't disappoint. Avery's yesterday was awesome, I think there was minimal damage despite my...errrr...wrecklessness.

Best part was in the dying minutes, Barry and I chanting "We want four! We want four! AAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! WE GOT FOUR! WE GOT FOUR!!!"

It almost compared to our playoff game in Fukuoka a few years back. Loved it.
